On any given day of the year, I’d much rather be outdoors than in. From a young age, I’ve always been outdoorsy and sporty—aware that living my best life will be achieved by seeking nature, travel and adventure experiences at every possible turn. All any one of us need do is think outside the box to grab a big slice of the great outdoors—even something as simple as hopping on your bike and pedaling over to Bay Area Park to enjoy the sound of the wind rustling in the trees and watch the ducks swim peacefully on Armand Bayou as the sunset dazzles on the horizon. Music and springtime just naturally go together! I’ve always enjoyed music—my favorite movie from childhood was The Sound of Music—I memorized every lyric and loved singing along to the movie soundtrack. So far this year has blessed me with delightful musical experiences…a surprise Jerry Jeff Walker concert at Wet Willie’s, and a Kelly McGuire private concert on the beach at Athens Gate, both enjoyed while vacationing recently on the Island of Ambergris Caye, Belize.
